In order to reach this, one must first be knowledgeable in the requirements of the profession. Advanced practice nursing has several key requirements in order to acquire and maintain advanced status. This paper will discuss the scope of Practice for NPs as it pertains to Florida, review the nine core competencies written within the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF), and evaluate three leadership skills.
