MindfulnessReflection_Week3.docx Mindfulness Reflection Week 3 After watching the videos this week, I never really thought about what I eat throughout the day. I usually try to meal prep for the week with a breakfast and a lunch and some snacks throughout my day. Usually my breakfast consists of protein muffins or protein pancakes that I make myself. The recipes I have consist of some type of protein or protein powder mixed with a fruit. I try to change up the breakfast meal as much as possible because I know that your body get used to the same things after a while and also from experience you tend to get tired of eating the same thing day after day. With lunch I try to stick with a salad. My favorite to make for myself consists of fresh lettuce, protein, fruit, and small amount of cheese with a balsamic dressing. Raw veggies or a piece of fruit to snack on throughout the day is my go-to snack for recently and drinking lots of water or having a cup of tea during my day. I have never really been a big soda drinker, which is good because they are not good for you at all. Water with lemon or even mint has been my go-to beverage when I want to grab a refreshing drink. I would say my empty calorie intake consists of my dessert after dinner. I usually go for that pint of ice cream to share with my boyfriend after a long day. Sweets are my weakness especially since I love to bake every chance, I get whether it be cookies, cakes, or my favorite a tiramisu.
