MindfulnessReflection_week8.docx Mindfulness Reflection Week 8 Are you someone that currently functions primarily with a fixed mindset or growth mindset? Fixed mindset is someone that tends to think there is something wrong with them. They believe that they can not adapt to the change happening around them. Growth mindset is someone who keeps trying whether they fail or do not complete the task at hand. They are resilient and never give up on trying to adapt to changes. I believe that I am a person who thinks they are both, fixed and growth mindset. There are times when I know I can do something even though I struggle with it. One of my biggest struggles for example is getting through anatomy and physiology class. I have struggled during my college career with trying to get through these classes to be able to move on to the next step of my student career, making me have a growth mindset. There were also times during this that I said, “I give up, I cant do this. I will never be good enough.†However, I try to my hardest to put myself back into the right mindset to keep on track of my goals. People have both positive and negative mindsets. It is the way of nature. There are many things in our daily lives that can affect the mindset we have, good and bad. As a person we must learn to adjust to those factors and have patience to overcome the obstacles.
