Week 4 The Holocaust.docx Wk4 The Holocaust Chamberlain University Contemporary History The past is what shapes our future, and the present is merely a gift. In the early-mid 1900s the German Naz... is, as well as the Jews amongst them knew this to be true. The 1941 Holocaust is the result of one ancient idea, that over time leads to systematically wiping out an entire race. The ancient idea that Jewish people used Germans blood for “Passoverâ€, shaped the minds of German Nazi rulers to come, like Reinhard Tristan Heydrich and Adolf Hitler. With artistic influences from his father, Tristan thrived in the rise of the Holocaust with the intent to save his German Christian culture from Jewish people. Hitler having his own personal connection to the Arts, also posed Jewish people as a threat (Catherwood & Horvitz, 2006). Jewish citizens were known to be creative and just as talented as German citizens, Hitler struggled in a world outside of war and terror. This contrast shows the clear line of intent to wipe out a mass of people when possessing great political power. I could only imagine that Jewish citizens experienced immense terror and confusion; they were living in a society that had no intentions in coexisting with their kind. However, the video gave me a sense of hope and cooperativeness. The Jewish race exemplified unity and great pride amongst themselves.
