Benchmark_Reflection_Essay_November_2020.docx(1) SEC 580 Benchmark Reflection Essay Grand Canyon University: SEC 580 In order for me to continue to follow the current curriculum and develop five lessons to support the curriculum was by reviewing the standards that were needed to be followed. I then was able to create an objective. I had to also make sure that my objectives included clear guidelines for what each student needed to know and how it will be assessed. Then, in creating an objective first, I was then able to build lesson plans from this in which to focus on to help develop the right amount of knowledge for my students to learn and retain. The substance I selected for importance is worth learning because it encourages improvement toward essential social knowledge and civic effectiveness goals, and teaching methods are intended to enable students to appreciate how the content relates to those goals. When I was working on my lesson plans I knew that this could be a lot of fun for the students so I made sure to have a broad range of strategies to make the class more enjoyable and engaging. I was able to use collaborative work, group work, social connections, discussions. This broad amount of strategies should help my students feel motivated and excited to learn and to want more.
