In recent years, hospital falls among geriatric patients have risen. With nurses having little resources to spend on individual patients, it has rapidly become a danger that can be fatal in future days if not handled (Rekatsina, et. al., 2020). Most related geriatric falls are caused by muscle weakness, impaired vision, and chronic diseases such as diabetes. Older individuals are also affected by surgical operations and cannot heal and are frail, thus at the greatest risk of falling. Prevention Setting Chesapeake Community Healthcare non-profit healthcare in Virginia treating more than 100 geriatric patients daily is the practice initiative set. The hospital gets ten geriatric patients for this initiative in the surgical wards that cared for different medical conditions. Slipping from the bed, corridors, and toilet is one of the most notable challenges encountered by geriatric patients (Rekatsina, et. al., 2020). The Problem, Issue, Suggestion, Initiative, or Education Need Geriatric patients 65 years and older are mostly affected by hospital falls. The possibility that older people have poor bone systems is due to this.
