There are many guidelines that need to be followed in order to prevent accidents. Wearing Personal Protective Equipment is one way that students can protect themselves from accidents. Students also need to understand the labels and their meaning. Accidents can happen and students need to be prepared to act when they do. Chemistry laboratory is very different from Anatomy laboratory. In Anatomy laboratory students are able to observe human bodies. Students are able to identify where is each organ and their function. In the other hand Chemistry, students do experiments with different substances. Students learn how substances work together and how they can work on the human body. In a Chemistry laboratory setting, students can face different hazards. For example, students can get their clothing on fire. If this happens, students must go down and roll to stop the fire. The instructor must be notified immediately because they will determine if they will use a fire blanket or if they will direct the student to a safety shower.Other hazards are sharp objects; they need to be used carefully to prevent accidents.
