The more resilient the child is the better equipped they are for life as a whole. Resilience is crucial to a healthy development of a young child because life is not easy and the child will encounter problems that might knock them down. The better they are equipped for these challenges that easier and more willing they will be to brush themselves off and try again and again until they are successful. Also, they will be less cautious of trying new things, which can open up bigger and better opportunities for them in life. There have been many studies on the resilience of children and the effect it has on them. The more resilience a child has will help them adapt to new scenarios more quickly, face disappointment, learn from failure, and cope with loss a lot better than children who don't have as much resilience. They have also found out that young children who have more resilience and to have a growth mindset rather than a closed mindset. A growth mindset allows students, to be more open to ideas that are different from theirs. It also makes education and learning outside of school more enjoyable for them rather than it being a chore. Children with a closed mindset are more likely to be more hard-headed and stubborn.
