Self_Evaluation.docx Self- evaluation I believe it is always a good thing to go back and evaluate an event, lesson, experience, etc. that has an impact on your life. This helps you to see why things... happened the way they did, how much you have grown, could/should you have done things differently, and/or what should your next step be. So, I am thankful for this assignment to reflect on the past five weeks. I know it will only prepare me more for my future classes and internships. Strong Leadership Elements While reflecting on the ELCC standards, I found that I have strengths in areas that will continue to help me grow and improve my leadership skills. One of these areas was in ELCC standard 2. This standard covers the instructional culture of the school, which involves the learning environment, having high expectations for all students, curriculum and appropriate technology. I feel I am very strong in this area. Being a virtual teacher for the first time, along with ten other teachers at my school, I have been able to collaborate with them sharing ideas on how to best teach these students. We™ve developed plans and activities that follow the curriculum. We make sure our students know our expectations and work hard for them. I have shared these activities and ideas of how to keep students working toward my expectations with other virtual teachers in the district. I am also not afraid to ask for assistance if I need it.
