There are many challenges to navigate and communication is a complete necessity. I am part of my Cincinnati Talent Acquisitions œDream Team as we internally call ourselves. We have organically come together to help each other perform well and focus on the future of our office as many individuals are retiring. My team of five and core of three have come together to train, quality review, and brainstorm. Each member came to the Internal Revenue Service within a few months of each other. At the time, there was not any formal training and many of the seasoned specialists were beginning to retire. Team leads were busy, and training of any kind was scarce. I had begun to look into online training materials and staging areas of work to create my own training manual. As new people came in, I began to train and orient them to the office. Another future dream team member did similar things and we began to review each others work. We became a trio that was known for completing work, reviewing it, and having it ready for supervisor review with virtually no errors. We kept in constant communication about changes, review notes, and online classes. Because of this our team bloomed to five and we began to be tasked with larger and larger projects.
