HWE_Implementation_Plan.doc HWE Implementation Plan BSA/ 515 Introduction HWE Accessories will soon be moving from an online informational Website to launching a new E-Commerce Website that will... provide almost all the services that customers now experience at its brick-and-mortar location. It has been decided that the organization will reach out to Word Press to assist in the renovation and design. Although IT is confident that the changeover process will run smoothly and seamlessly, with minimum disruptions, they are aware that changeovers can be uncertain. Changeover Approach HWE Accessories must take the appropriate changeover approach. There are four such approaches that the organization is considering. The Direct Approach means HWE will shut down its informational Website and immediately began using the E-Commerce Website. The Phased Approach would mean that the new Website is implemented in smaller milestones and tested out on a small scale to ensure that it is working correctly. The Pilot Approach would allow the new Website to be implemented for only a short time to identify any issues. The Parallel Approach allows staff to work through both the informational Website and the Ecommerce Website until staff and customers are comfortable with the change. After careful consideration, IT has decided to utilize the Parallel Approach. IT believes that the Direct Approach is too drastic of an approach and may result in resistance, not to mention the risks of failure.
