C717 Task1.doc Business Ethics Task 1: Organizational Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility Western Governors University A.Corporate Policies ï‚·TechFite will classify all those workin... g 30 hours or more per week as full-time employees. Each employee will be eligible after 1 year for a merit increase which will be a percentage between 2%-5% based on performance evaluations. ï‚·TechFite will offer those employees classified as full-time, working 30 hours or more, with full medical benefits. Medical benefits will include health, dental, vision along with Paid Time Off. Paid Time Off will be 40 hours for those worked 1-3 years, 80 hours for those worked 4 years or more. If you are a new employee there will be a 90-day introductory period before any benefits become available. ï‚·Any full-time employee completing a minimum of 15 hours per month of community service will be eligible for an additional quarterly bonus. The bonus will be based on the amount of community service hours that are submitted by the organization the employee chose to volunteer at. The bonus will be paid out either by extra Paid Time Off days or a monetary amount which is chosen by the employee. The bonus will be $100 per 15 hours worked or 1 PTO day per 15 hours worked. TechFite will use previous executive bonuses to pay out any expenses occurred by volunteer work like supplies and needs by the community.
