Alliahs CEO wants to make sure everything is secure as she gets ready to take her company public in the next year or so. We will discuss WLAN vulnerabilities, mobile vulnerabilities, steps to mitigate vulnerabilities, preventative measures, and how they could better address BYOD. A. WLAN Vulnerabilities The first vulnerability that Alliah needs to be aware of is rouge access points. The case study states that the third floor is empty, so a rouge access point could be added up there. One could even be placed outside since Alliah has an access point that covers their patio. A hacker could set up rouge access point outside but within the range of Alliahs network. The rouge access point then accepts beacons from Alliahs WIFI, and then broadcast out identical beacons via broadcast messaging (Casey, 2017). Unknown to employees of Alliah, their devices could begin to transmit their traffic toward the rouge access point. The second vulnerability that Alliah needs to be aware of is a data breach due to no isolated guest network. This can leave Alliah open for attack if a guest or vendor needs to get on their network. An attacker can gain access to Alliahs more secure and criti. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .
