However, the integration of technology into the classroom has complicated the dynamics of classroom ethics. Many students are introduced to technology prior to entering the school setting, and their experiences with it differs. These ethical issues must be addressed by educational professionals. Educators therefore must integrate technology in such a way that is reflective of the various skill levels in using them and the impact of the internet. Issues for Consideration The progressive nature of technology complicates the process of evaluating the ethical ramifications of personal actions in a digital space. Legal and ethical issues that arise include Copyright, Fair Use, and Creative Commons; FERPA and other technology privacy concerns; and plagiarism and academic dishonesty. Understanding ethical issues of technology in the classroom¦ helps students become ethical citizens in a digital world. (Northwest, 2018).
