It is therefore imperative that teachers receive training and support to effectively and productively implement technology into the classroom. One method of training that could be used to support this need is a lunch and learn. Unlike a traditional professional development session, lunch and learns are voluntary, informal, and collaborative. This focus provides manageable training and support for teachers. The lunch and learn personally crafted to meet the needs of teachers struggling to implement technology in their classrooms consists of a presentation, trainer notes to guide the presentation, and audience handouts to support teachers during and after the lunch and learn. Presentation The purpose of this presentation is to provide teachers with concise information regarding the purpose of technology integration, examples of implementation, and a broad management plan. This information is designed to promote collaboration amongst the professional learning community, provide practical resources and strategies, and support further professional development.
