According to research, HR professionals that possess a higher level of these nine competencies, perform better in their overall job performance. I work in the business department within a school district in California. In order for me, as a budget analyst, to do my job, I need to work very closely with technicians within the human resources department. If I have to pick three competencies that most, if not all, human resource technicians and administration possess, I would pick Human Resource Technical Expertise and Practice, Consultation and Critical Evaluation. The Human Resource department for our district is large and a little difficult to understand specifically which technician handles particular duties. However, once it is realized which technician handles the specific duty in question, they tend to be experts and are able to express and describe the processes and procedures.
