Prison Livelihood Program.docx Prison Livelihood Program Advanced Research Methods Abstract This study would like to increase the number of employments of Iowa State Prison inmates after prison with the use of lecture programs in different job positions such as administrative, business, customer services given by expert in the said position. This study would also compare the performance of former inmates to their respective colleagues with no criminal records with the use of performance evaluation to know if they performed the same to eliminate the discrimination in hiring former inmates. Introduction Prison life is very different in the world where we used to. According to Wagner and Bertram (2020), nearly one out of one hundred of the United States™ population is behind bars. This is the number of people who are currently experiencing limited resources and other difficulties in prison. Thinking about prison life is already hard how much more for people who experienced it for many years. The prison life did not actually end at the time of release. Former inmate Shaka Senghor asserted that When people are sentenced, that sentence never ends ” even when they step out of prison." She is implying that even outside prison, some things are limited to former inmates such as housing, access to treatment, and employment (Miller & Fornoff, 2017).
