Project Executive Summary Project Executive Summary ENT/586 Project Executive Summary Executive Summary Nike Enterprise is the worlds top developer, merchant, and supplier of athletic footwear, apparel, furniture and accessories for a wide selection of sports and health activities. It was formed in 1964 by Bowerman and Knight. Opening their first store in 1966, pitching their Nike slogan in 1972. In 1978 the business was retitled Nike Inc. by 1980 the company went public. Nike has been on the cutting edge of consumer products for years and has consistently met the demands of not only the shoe market but the clothing industry as well. In this paper, we will discuss the core values that Nike bases its business on, the organizations mission and aspects of the organization that utilizes information technology which helps Nike remain one of the leading businesses in the clothing/shoe industry. This paper will also explore the many uses of IT innovation and how this component is utilized as a decision maker for the companys growth.
