Both civilizations were close to rivers and due to the water supply and rich soil made it possible for agricultural needs. The chosen rivers where very diverse. The name Mesopotamia literary mean "land between the rivers" and were established between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers (Acrobatiq, 2017). The Tigris and Euphrates Rivers were tremendously erratic and frequently were challenged with damaging floods. An advantage of the floods of the Mesopotamia area is that it provided a rich land agricultural. This section was known as the “fertile crescent". Unfortunately, this river was not very predictable and caused floods. This because that crops were frequently damaged (Acrobatiq, 2017). The villages population grew fast because of the fertile soil that produced healthy crops. The Egyptians civilization was next to the Nile river and were extremely calm (Acrobatiq, 2017). The Nile rivers flooding was predictable. The flooding brought down fertile land, which could be cultivated to grow food for Spring and Summer (Acrobatiq, 2017). The Mesopotamia metropolises were constructed around mutual languages, cultures and religions. Each metropolis appointed their own king.
