plan_proposal__1_.docx NURS-FPX4010 Interdisciplinary Plan Proposal NURS-FPX4010 Capella University Interdisciplinary Plan Proposal The journey of transformation from disconnected, inefficient, paper-based care delivery to a nationwide, interconnected EMR is promising and exciting. The problem is nurses frustration being torn away between caring for their patients and the load of documentation, inaccurate patient information if not updated properly, and technical downtimes. The proposed plan will discuss opportunities for nurses to learn new technology skills, help the leaders develop new strategies to improve patient care, reduce cost and improve the facility performance through implementing EMR systems. Objective The promise of an information technology plan is the availability and the organization of the data, instantaneous communication, avoiding bad care that could happen by duplicating or missed patient care, and saving money. The inability to uncover errors and staff frustration can lead to rigidity and deterioration. This process can be reversed by a method called double loop learning. According to Storli, Ingebrigtsen, Nakrem, & Elstad (2017), safety measures for medication in nursing homes needs: improvement based on learning from adverse events can be studied using Argyris and Schöns concepts of single loop and double loop learning. While single loop learning involves adjusting behavior within the same mind-set, double loop learning questions the basic perceptions underlying ac. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .
