According to Konnikova (2016), more than eighty percent of college students reported to having sexual activity outside of their relationship. (Konnikova, 2016) Casual sex can be a controversial topic; there are so many opinions in society on what is the right and/or wrong thing to do with your own body. There needs to be a discussion on the reason why more people are finding having casual sex works to fulfill their current needs and wants. I chose this topic because although I am not in total agreeance with having casual sex with people, I understand that it has become somewhat of a trend. If the people who are engaging in casual sex are doing so consensually and taking proper precautions to protect themselves, I do not see the problem in their decisions. I also feel that people who engage in this kind of activity need to be aware of consequences associated with their behavior. People are so quick to judge others on what they do with their bodies, but they tend to forget that it is those individuals bodies so they can do with it as they see fit.
