u02a1 Review and selection of standardized test.docx PSY 7610 Review and Selection of a Standardized Test Capella University PSY 7610 Section 01 Introduction The area of specialization that we wi... ll be focusing on is psychology with the specification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA was chosen because my career is gearing towards becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA). The goal of becoming a BCBA is driven by my interest in working to better the quality of life for individuals with Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disabilities (ID). In the next section, a review of three different tests will be analyzed, compared, and contrasted with the code of fair testing practices in education. The three tests are as followed: Adaptive Behavior Assessment system – 2 (ABAS-2), Scales of Independent Behavior (SIB-R), and Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales- 2 (VABS-2). A BCBA needs to understand how to assess and interpret data derived from the assessment in ABA. The three evaluations mentioned consist of seven dimensions critical in serving excellent and relevant marks for identifying ABA research.[ CITATION Bae68 \l 1033 ] The knowledge and skills in understanding the validity and application of the assessments are the foundation skills needed when creating individual programming with clients.
