Working With Autism 1.edited PSYC4001 PSYC4001: ABA Foundation Exploring a Career in Applied Behavior Analysis Capella University Working with Autism Life can be hard on a person if they have to perform in a working field they don't enjoy. After conducting a questionnaire interview, it is plain to see that this BCBA enjoys what they do. Discussion is given about the BCBAs job title, their daily tasks, inspiration, likes, dislikes, and advice. Initially, as part of the assignment required, I went to http://www.bacb.com/and registered for an account. I searched for a BABC, introduced who I was, and sent them a questionnaire given to the class: the BABC did not respond, so I was assigned the BABC that I have now. I also researched the Capella library for BCBA and found a descriptive article (Brodhead, 2015) that I will integrate with my BCBA's career description to compare with my career preference. Job requirements This Licensed behavior analyst had to receive a graduate degree, complete ABA relevant course classes, finish supervised hours, and pass the BCBA exam before they were given a job to manage Interdisciplinary Care Plans (IDT). In these IDTs, the BCBA was utilized in observing the treatment plans and provided ABA training that encouraged modeling behavior and turn-taking techniques.
