CJ_307_Unit_2_Assignment.docx CJ 307 Crisis Management in Terrorist Attacks and Disasters Unit 2 Assignment Introduction: When the word terrorism comes to mind we all look back on the events that had taken place on 9/11. This is the start of the build and security of the Department of Homeland Security we have always needed. Before this department was developed we were in a serious vulnerable state which eventually lead to the ever haunting attack. Looking back we have come so far in strengthening our boarders and ensuring no attacks can continue. Unfortunately events like mass shooting and bombings in major events will always be something we will learn from and battle with. I believe domestic terrorism is something we all over look, but the sad part is that the threat is always there. You almost ask yourself how do these terroristic organizations become so large and are able to fund their organizations. Focusing on Al-Qaeda will help us gain a bit of insight in what these organizations hold and how they maintain their armies and strengths. Terrorist Organization Name: Al-Qaeda How Founded: A name that is very hard to listen to and be heard from many people as it brings up horrific events is, Osama Bin Ladin.
