Even more so are the costs and how an average blue-collar citizen can afford the consistently rising expenses. Health insurance plays a monumental piece in this struggle and still premiums and deductibles are beginning to break the bank as well. The quantity and quality of healthcare has undergone many reforms and will undergo many more until a solution has been reached. A course of action revolving around transparency and limiting the inflation of healthcare costs may be the answer. Health care coverage is a luxury that provides cushion against the incredible costs that ensue when seeking medical attention. Health insurance agencies are funded by the number of consumers that they service. They receive monthly dues otherwise known as insurance premiums from consumers regardless of whether or not the coverage was utilized during that period of time. Deductibles are usually driven based off the premium, the higher the premium the lower the deductible and vice versa. It is the insurance premiums and deductibles that finance the agencies and allow them to cover the high costs of healthcare when such services are needed. Typically, the total number of consumers largely outweighs those who actually require care and so the gross income of these agencies is high.
