Student submitted a screen capture of â€œReview Current DNS configurationâ€ and â€œConfigure your system to use your networks DNSâ€ sections. A.Review Current DNS configuration. B. Configure your system to use your networks DNS. 3. Student included at least a paragraph outlining what they learned and anything that still needed to be explained. This lab taught the use of the command â€œnmcliâ€. The command line tool is used to configure the DNS. The lab instructs to run the â€œhostâ€ command first to try and resolve the hostname to IP address. It showed that it could not resolve the hostname and thus configuration of the DNS had to be complete in order to do so. Using the â€œnmcliâ€ command the lab walked though the steps to configure the system to use DNS. Once configuration was completed the â€œhostâ€ command was used to host www.google.com to check if the DNS was configured. After configuration the system successfully resolved the hostname to an IP address. This lab taught configuration of DNS.
