IT278__Unit_2_Lab.docx IT374 Unit 2 Lab Purdue Global University IT374 Network Administration Part 1 The installation process of Windows Server 2016 was pretty simple and straightforward thanks to the discussion post and LabSim. I was a bit nervous although I do have experience with downloading onto VirtualBox, but they were all Linux-based. I did not expect downloading a Windows server would be so simple. I guess the preparation from discussions and LabSim really helped. I am so thankful for the assignments and the order in which I decided to do them. Starting off, I had to delete Debian and Ubuntu servers off of VirtualBox in order to have the required space within my environment to run and download Windows Server 2016. I took heed to the warnings about ensuring I had extra space to allow the download to completely open. I downloaded an ISO file of Windows Server 2016 datacenter edition because it was completely free, and I would not have to pay in 180 days. I fully intend to explore this server and learn as much as possible, so I did not want to deal with a time limit. I chose Core because of the readings and seeing how much of a simpler download process this was, I am glad I did. I followed the instructions on downloading which included accepting the license, I changed the Administrator password, and was prompted to enter Sconfig and changed the computer name.
