As young humans, infants more specifically, the proper nutrition is s... o essential to our growth. Poor nutrition in infants can affect them negatively in ways like their cognitive growth and physical and mental health. During the prenatal stage there is a concern for malnutrition and/or poor nutrition and this also may affect cognitive growth. In the United States there are programs set aside like WIC that help woman and children get the proper nutrition they need if they are in need. A child™s development relies on that proper nutrition, their minds are ever changing, their bodies are ever changing, their brains are growing, and the food they put in their bodies is the important factor of whether they are properly nourished. One program that was mentioned, WIC (Woman, Infants, and Children) was created to provide the proper nutrition to those who could not provide for themselves or their young ones. This program is meant to reverse the effects of poor nutrition for women and children. WIC is meant to provide the best nutrition for families and has strict guidelines on what you can and cannot get for your child. For example, it has certain types of cereal you can grab like Cheerios, but you cannot grab sugary cereals such as Froot-Loops. Very common-sense nutrition.
