The facility includes the companies network servers which house copies of patient records with personal information, billing data, ABC Healthcare™s financial data, and miscellaneous forms and documents. After analysis of the office and the layout there are several issues that should be addressed to ensure compliance with regulations. These are general layout of personnel, security of company and patient data, and some privacy violations of ethical concern the administration is concealing from staff. These issues need to be addressed and resolved for personal and professional ethical violations within ABC Healthcare. The first issue that needs to be addressed is the current layout of the facility. Currently the administration offices have all four departments in a shared area utilizing a shared and open concept floorplan. The servers are not secured in any way. The most efficient way to protect data and the company would be to put these servers behind a locked door which will limit access by only granting access to certain staff. Discarded documents are just left beside the printer allowing access to anyone walking by and leaving a cluttered mess. There are also complaints about the volume of noise in the environment.
