Although procrastination may not seem wide-scale now, it may negatively affect our future drastically. We all put off tedious tasks which we may not want to do at the time, however we should not let it get to the point where we must finish it immediately or rushed. In the world we are living in now, if you do not complete your job well enough, someone else can. That is a reason why we always must strive to do our best. For me, procrastination has ruined my chances at doing well is school, left me with a mild case of insomnia, and added excess stress to my life. In high school, I noticed I was beginning to fall behind due to procrastination. For example, when we had to complete an assignment online by a certain time, I would often wait till the last minute to begin. This affected my grades, and since I had no time, my work was mediocre. A big reason why I would always wait so long to complete my assignments is because I would get easily distracted. Between television and the different social networking websites, I never found time to dedicate myself to my studies. For example. I wouldn’t find a way to prioritize between studying and having fun.
