Considering the high demand for Apple products, the company decided to capitalise on the recent launch of Apple iPad. OrangeWerks had created an application development platform – OrangeWerks App Creator (OAC), and this enabled new users to create their own Apple application without any software training. The company made the product popular by allowing its customer to download a limited version for free. By December 15, 2010, the number of awarded business software licences for both the rough and beta versions, jumped from 1500 to 20,000 in the previous two months. The founders started seeking the angel funding to hit the ground running but there were number of problems in the way of building this start up into a good business.
