Abstract2
The United States and Australian health care systems are both unique in their own way. The
United States is one of the wealthiest countries in the world. Although with all the wealth, the
health care system is not satisfactory when compared to other countries like Australia. Americans
struggle to find affordable health insurance plans as the prices continue to increase each year.
The United States relies on employers to provide their employees with health insurance so that
they do not have to do so. The passage of the Affordable Care Act helped millions of Americans
gain access to health care services. In comparison, Australia has one of the top health care
systems in the world. Australia passed a universal health care system, also known as Medicare,
which is available for all Australian citizens. The Australian health care system consists of a
single-payer system that provides patients with free or low-cost health care. The amount of
money that the United States spends on health care is significantly higher than what Australia
spends on health care each year, and their health care is better.

human right because everyone deserves access to health care. The U.S. is considered one of the
top countries in the world, but their health care system is one of the worst. Americans are
struggling to find affordable health insurance plans that will be beneficial for their families.
Health care insurance plans are expensive, especially for those who are unemployed, lowincome, and adults between the ages of 18 and 64 (Institute of Medicine Committee on the
Consequences of Uninsurance, 2019). The U.S. is seen as a wealthy country so it is concerning
that their health care isn’t up to other countries’ standards. The Australian health care system is
one of the best systems in the world. The country’s health care system provides affordable and
safe care to all of its citizens. The majority of Australians are satisfied with their health care
system as most have access even if they do not
