The country's current political situation is an overwhelming problem that made me feel like I had to pick a side. Before what did not occur to me was that these were never purely black and white matters €”morality and politics never were. This TED Talk by Jonathan Haidt made me realize that not one side is entirely correct. To see the bigger picture, you should not stubbornly anchor yourself to the ground and refuse to budge. It is essential to step back and open your eyes to gain a broader perspective. Is America more divided than ever before? Sadly, I agree.
