The truth is, electric vehicles may one day help save the environment, but technology must continue to find solutions to eliminating the materials currently used in manufacturing, and the fuel to keep them running. The critical elements necessary for producing batteries alone are at times not only difficult to find and mine but can also be extremely expensive. Recharging these vehicles for the overwhelming majority requires large amounts of fossil fuels, as renewable grids are not yet available, and range of a charge is limited. Creating and maintaining these alternative fuel grids will also come at great expense.
