Reflection Post Reflect back over the past 8 weeks and describe how the achievement of the course outcomes in this course have prepared you to meet the MSN program outcome #1, MSN Essential I, and ... Nurse Practitioner Core Competencies #1. Advanced Pathophysiology was both challenging and rewarding. It provided me with the essential knowledge on normal physiologic and pathologic mechanisms of disease across the lifespan. Over the past couple of months, I have been able to build upon my knowledge base that I had acquired from my undergraduate course of Anatomy and Physiology; The MSN program outcome #1, provide high-quality, safe, patient-centered care grounded in holistic health principles (holistic health & patient-centered care), was achieved by reading the weekly assigned chapters in the textbook, completing the study guide questions in the workbook, and participating in the assigned case studies in week’s 2, 3, and 5. To safely provide high-quality, holistic, patient-centered care, a FNP should have a firm grasp on the concepts related to pathophysiology in order to properly assess and diagnose patients across the lifespan.
