I realized that the conversation was going to be a difficult one in the sense of disagreement when Vinnie got upset because he felt like he was going to be replaced. The bioreaction that I had during this conversation was to appease. I wanted to appease Vinnie by trying to reason with him. Vinnies bioreaction in this conversation was to fight. He felt the need to fight with me in order to defend his position on being replaced by another foster kid. The conversation ended with Vinnie crying and being very defensive. He was not open to the idea of us taking placement of another kid while he is in the hospital.
