I believe that one of the main causes of poverty has a lot to do with where a person grows up, and also where they get their education. I was born in southeast Washington D.C and have lived here all of my life. Every day I witnessed how hard it is for a lot of residents in Washington D.C. The poverty rates here are very high, they are eve higher than majority of the other states. This breaks my heart to see that there is not much being done about.
