This structure served as a low-stakes self-evaluation opportunity. This was my first experience with the Mursion platform. I found it unconventional, but not uncomfortable. I was able to self-reflect on what I did well and identify characteristics that I should focus on to become a stronger, more effective leader. Strong, effective leaders understand the importance of implementing policies that would encourage joy in the workplace. I learned the importance of intently utilizing social- emotional intelligence power skills to develop strategies that promote joy in work. During the Mursion simulation, I was a supervisor of the emergency department. I was charged with acting as a mediator between two management level employees. There was a disagreement concerning roles and responsibilities between their departments.
