The workflow is not as efficient as it could be due to the possibilities of unknown or misplaced documents and the process is slowed down because of the length of time it could take to locate them. With an electronic retrieval system, ROI workflow could increase in efficiency and potentially accuracy. Staff Concern In the implementation of a digital system from an analogue one, concern may be raised among faculty. The adoption of any new technique regardless of its nature, can cause discomfort and frustration for those who are new to it. In terms of ROI workflow, there may be a mixed array of feeling amongst the internal HIM staff; the more experienced HIM staff members may find more difficulty in having to completely learn a new process.
