Annotated_BibliographyPSYCH_665.docx Annotated Bibliography PSYCH/658 Annotated Bibliography Simpson, P. L. (2008). David Schmid. Natural Born Celebrities: Serial Killers in American Culture. English Studies in Canada, 34(2“3), 277. The article discusses the demise of serial killers and tries to relate that reduction of serial killers to a post 9/11 world. The article discusses foreign terrorism being more popular and newsworthy than domestic issues like serial killers. It even suggests that an arrest of a serial killer might not make the headline news on its own accord. The author suggests that pop culture is no longer interested in serial killers, at least in the time the article was written. This would not be true today, it would seem. The overall take from the article seems to be that serial killing is not cool or popular anymore, so there is less of it. It fails to acknowledge that a post 9/11 world consists of cell phone™s with camera and recording features, and a technological world that makes serial killing™s harder to get away with. Dalal, J. S., Aggarwal, K. K., Bhullar, D. S., & Sharma, M. (2009). A Case Study of Serial Killers. Journal of Punjab Academy of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, 9(2), 109“113.
