How would those challenges impact Poppler™s business? The first & obvious challenge for Poppler™s is the cost of purchasing, installing then implementing the new CBT system. Although the company has expanded & is on the verge of expanding yet again, the cost of expanding may not have been budgeted within the cost of the new expansion. Would the new CBT system require a new computer, or new computers, for each store? A question of where the CBT would be located would have to be answered. Would setting up a brand new training terminal be practical or would the stores make each point of sale location the hubs for training? Would it be practical or even possible for employees to learn while directly facing customers or would a private room or section of the store be a better learning environment for the employees? Purchasing, deploying, & implementing the new training efforts should have very little impact on the business from the customer™s point of view. At least there should not be many if any customer-affecting problems initially. If Poppler™s needs to alter the existing business locations in order to install terminals for the new CBT then there would certainly be some impact to customers & perhaps customer service as any construction during business hours can be distracting for the employees & frustrating & intimidating for customers.
