The America Bar Association, Juvenile Justice Standards IJA-ABA, is a policy that aims to address the whole continuum of the juvenile justice operation system from policing handling, disposition, intake adjudication, appeals and corrections, and diversity that involves children. How long has it been in effect? This policy is an American policy that has been effective since 1980, which means that the policy has been in place for at least 40 years. This standard has been used widely in the nation for several years now. This policy holds all the standards of how to handle the minority group and minors in the country. The policy was the first effective in California and was later extended to be a national policy. Explain which area of the criminal justice system the policy or program designed to address. The area of criminal justice that this policy is designed to handle is related to juveniles. For instance, it addresses the issue of delinquency and juvenile sanctions whereby it stipulates the age range to be "not less than ten and not more than seventeen." This policy ensures that no state will exceed the maximum age. They are prosecuting young increases moral and legal matters incorporating competency.
