With all of the studies that have been done there is still more work that needs to be done, more intervention programs that can be used that will help these kids to become productive citizens. Many of the interventions and remedy methods that have been used have shown to be successful, but research still show that more can be done. Most of those juvenile youth offenders that have mental issues, drug problems, behavior problems, and those with the high rate of dropping out of school, they are the ones that have been expose to some type of trauma in their life time. This kind of emotional shock or trauma usually affects many youth at a greater rate of three times are more than the usual population of our youth today. This type of emotional bagged in the juvenile system is very overwhelming. Research would further say that these are the youth that will not be able to succeed, and this is all based on mental screening from health services. There is a need to provide intervention to help these at risk juveniles to understand that with the right medical attention, and other intervention programs that are out there will ensure these at risk youth that they can make it out there in world.
