Assignment 6 .docx ISSC 341 Assignment 6 ISSC 341 ACME inc Network project part 3 At ACME Inc, the executives have decided that we need to connect our central office to the remote office that is about a mile away. There are many ways to do this. We could connect them via satellite, a leased line, or various WAN technologies. Some WAN protocols are ISDN, Frame Relay, ATM, and MPLS. All network connection technologies have their pros and cons, but for this network, I am going to connect the buildings using an MPLS connection. Multi-Protocol Label Switching sits between layer two and layer three on the OSI models hierarchy (Lammle. 2012). Multi-Protocol Label Switching its own network, so it is much more secure than transmitting data over the internet. The network is not actually encrypted, but it works as a Virtual Private Network and is not connected to the internet (Johnson & Weinberg, 2018). The network will not be vulnerable to Denial of Service attacks. Multi-Protocol Label Switching is very scalable, reliable, and utilizes bandwidth allocation well. A Multi-Protocol Label Switching network also reduces congestion within the network. Multi-Protocol Label Switching circuits are secure, but they are very expensive, especially when compared to a broadband connection. A Multi-Protocol Label Switching circuit can cost anywhere $750 per month and $1000 per month (MPLS Fees and Real Cost of MPLS Network, n.d.). The cost of a Multi-Protocol Label Switching circuit usuall. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .
