History of present illness include hypertension, and smoking for unspecified number of years. The patient was taken to Emmergency Room where further examination revealed as presented in the scenario. Neurological and musculoskeletal pathophysiologic processes that would account for the presenting symptoms of the patient in this scenario. The 74-year-old man presents with sudden right hemiparesis and aphasia onset. The risk factor, in this case, is hypertension and coronary artery disease. The patient blood pressure, 178/94, was high, has a history of hypertension, and smoking. The patient may have suffered acute left hemispheric stroke related to anterior circulation defects and neuropathy. Neuropathy causes symptoms such as weakness and numbness that mostly affect the hands and feet, which can be due to systemic illnesses as well as other causes, including medications effects. The most common causes of hand weakness encompass lower motor neuron syndromes that involve brachial plexus.
