I have extensive experience building secured datastores and managing databases that are leveraged by our serverless and containerized applications in the cloud. In the recent quarters, I was assigned with few job responsibilities that involve preparing the data dashboards and insightful reports for the leadership teams in our project. These new responsibilities demand new skills in data science and business intelligence. So, I have decided to pursue the Data Science and Big Data Analytics (ITS-836-M50) course this semester, Spring 2021, as part of my Ph.D. curriculum at the University of the Cumberlands. Practical Reflection At Work In the current project at work, I am assigned a role to deal with the abundance of structured and unstructured data almost every other day. As our team is required to build in- house applications and services for the TV streaming project, most of the applications are heavily built to perform the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) jobs.
