Skills for Social Work Practice Family Assessment The family that I have chosen to assess would be a single-parent family. The family I will be assessing is the Fullman family. The Fullman family is a single mother household with two daughters (3 and 11). Darla Fullman found herself being a single mother to a 3 and 11-year-old at the time of the divorce at the age of 35. Darla was an administrative assistant at MD Anderson medical center in downtown Houston. Darla was fortunate enough to be making sixty thousand dollars a year working at the hospital. Darla rules her house with an iron fist due to not wanting her children to be uneducated and alone. Darla does struggle with being an hour and a half away from her children and having to endure childcare costs. This family has been through a lot and their bond has been strained and the family has had to learn many skills.
