Mussolini had a hatred for communism, it was viewed as a “classless†with there being no difference between the poor or wealthy. In Communism vs. Fascism, to add communism is often an anti-democratic, one party system whereas fascism a one-party system which focused on traditional gender roles, idealism, social Darwinism, militarism and extreme forms of nationalism. Therefore, Mussolini decided for form a political group called, “the Fascio di Combattimento, or League of Combat†(Duiker, W. J, pg. 122)which pursued fascism. His dictatorship lead with no regard for foreign policy, he took control of the Italian peoples liberties and was responsible for various violent social, economic, and political movements leading to change. Fascism The fascist movement in Europe was very violent and had no regard for social liberties. In (Duniker, 2010) we see how the Black-shirts, who where his supporters, threatened a march on Rome if King Victor Emmanuel III did not give Mussolini power as prime minister. Eventually naming him prime minister he now became the “head of government†and then completely stripped the Italian people of all their social liberties.
