The components usually have an objective of convincing others that an action or idea is either right or wrong. When we are thinking critically it requires us to develop strategy based on our perspective on the other persons point of view. Reasoning is also important in an argument because in can be used to allow others to view from a neutral or bias perspective to achieve the said objective. Chapter 5 is focusing on ways we can improve our analytical skills . One of those skills is breaking down the fundamentals of an argument. We learned an argument is based on a claim and the reason or reason to support the truth or the claim.(Facione , Gittens, 2016). We make arguments to explain the foundations of our opinions by offering reasoning to justify our decisions. This is important because when we offer arguments it is like we are asking someone to think about the reasoning weve came up with.
