Description 1: Sometimes when I am participating in a conversation between an individual or a group of people, I tend to get impatient and start to distract myself from the conversation by focusing on the environment. I am unable to be flexible when communicating about unfamiliar or “boring†information. An example of this would be at work, where a coworker would start or join a conversation and they start talking about a video game that I dont really care about or find any interest in. As a result of my disinterest in the topic of the conversation, I typically just distract myself from focusing on the material of the conversation and I focus on the environment or something else besides the conversation. This is a major communication behavior issue that I have. Challenge 2: I cant always keep straight eye contact while communicating. Description 2: I notice that I often lose my attention to making eye contact while talking with someone. I am considerably shy in some situations and I have never been proficient in being able to keep direct eye contact.
